Babson Soca

This event recreated the environment of our previous dining hall takeover by bringing together dance, music, clothing, and food to showcase our experience with Caribbean culture. This was a campus-wide event, including more organizations across the Greater Boston Area like Vitacoco, Socaholics, and other college clubs!

The vision included all clubs and organizations as a part of this event through attendance and marching. There were giveaways to engage with the crowd, in addition to building Caribbean awareness through providing t-shirts for clubs to showcase on stage.

The carnival was meant to take place outdoors; however, due to weather, it was moved indoors. The complexity of this event included applying for funding, scouting for donations, and receiving sponsorships. Some of the primary roles included managing the roadmap, timeline, and execution of all of the event components.
